What does Plugins
do ?
Plugins is great for people who regularly download and test new lisp routines from the internet. |
It is very useful for developers for rapid reloading of multiple files by simply typing plugins at the AutoCAD command prompt. |
No more tedious manual loading of your files, let plugins load them for you automatically. |
No more editing text files or the startup suite in order to load your files. |
You can have plugins load all your files for you but you
can also choose to disable loading all your plugins. This is
particularly useful if you want to speed up batch processing on a large number of files. (Try doing this with the built-in AutoCAD startup suite !) |
If you manage or maintain a large number of machines with your companies standard add-ons, load plugins onto each machine and set a network folder as their plugin path. Now when you make changes to your company standard add-ons on the network you no longer need to re-visit each workstation to set them up as plugins will automatically detect the changes that you made and load the revised add-ons accordingly. |
Full instructions on how to install Plugins are included in the dowload zip file.
When you have installed Plugins and you open a drawing, it will prompt information to your command line to let you know
what is happening during the load process. You can read this
information by using F2 to open the AutoCAD text console - View Screenshot
