What does Batchpro do ?

Batchpro is a very powerful yet simple to use batch processing application for Autocad. Batchpro can process a vast range of user configurable commands on a large number of Autocad drawings very quickly. Dont let the easy to use interface fool you, this is a very powerful application that can process hundreds of files in a matter of minutes. Batchpro can pay for itself within a few hours, even in the hands of a novice AutoCAD user.

Problem Scenario 1
You need to plot a batch of drawings created by someone else. They have not been so careful as yourself. The drawings have no plot configurations set, some of the drawings are drawn in layouts and some in Model space but they have not been left in the correct layout. The Images on the drawings still have their frames turned on and someone has forgotton to turn plotting of on the vports layer so all the viewports are showing up on he plot.
This is the kind of job that batchpro excels at. Add all the drawings to the file list.
Then add the following commands...
Layer NoPlot vports, Image frames OFF, Plot All Layouts Containing Block "YourBorderNameHere"
Simple, an afternoons work finished in a matter of minutes and you can carry on doing something else while the plotter catches up with you.

Problem Scenario 2
A 3rd Party needs electronic copies of all your AutoCAD 2005 drawings for a project. Problem is that they need them in r2000 format. This is easy with Batchpro, just add all the files and use the "Save As r2000" command.

Problem Scenario 3
Your marketing department needs a bunch of drawings exported into wmf format for including them in a powerpoint presentation. Just add all the files and use the "Export to WMF" command.

Problem Scenario 4
You need to plot a lot of your own drawings and you know that they have all been set up correctly for your plotter and left in the correct layout. Start Batchpro, add all the drawings and use the Plot Active Layout command. (which will plot the active layout without making any changes to the plot configuration)

Problem Scenario 5
The FEA guys need all your AutoCAD 3d models in .sat format. Simple, use the "Export to SAT" command in batchpro and they are done in minutes.

The possible scenarios are endless and through use of Custom commands and command aliases in Batchpro, you can use Batchpro to open the files and run all of your own lisp routines on your drawings too. You really will wonder why you ever did repetitive AutoCAD tasks manually.
